J. Todd Inman, Chief of Staff
J. Todd Inman serves as the Chief of Staff for the Department of Transportation. Mr. Inman previously served at the Department as the Deputy Chief of Staff and Director of Operations. Prior to his tenure at USDOT, Mr. Inman was a member of the National Advisory Council of the Small Business Administration appointed by President George W. Bush. He has served in a number of leadership roles at the state and local level including the Chairman of the Board of multiple non-profit and civic organizations. For over 20 years Mr. Inman served in executive or leadership positions in the insurance industry. He has been recognized as a member of the “President's Club” that recognizes the top 50 out of 17,000 nationwide producers. Previously he served in a leading property and casualty insurers special investigative unit focusing on arson and organized crime investigations. As a leading expert in fire safety, prevention, and mitigation, Mr. Inman has testified as an expert witness in local, state and federal courts regarding the origin and cause of fires and arson. He has additionally contributed to updates of the National Fire Protection 921 Guide for Fire and Explosion Investigations. He was also an instructor for the National Fire Academy in the regional delivery program of “Arson Detection for First Responders”. Mr. Inman graduated from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Advertising with an emphasis in public relations.
Sean McMaster, Deputy Chief of Staff
Sean McMaster is Deputy Chief of Staff at the United States Department of Transportation. He previously served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Congressional Affairs. Before joining the Department, Mr. McMaster served as professional staff in the Office of Oversight for the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.
Mr. McMaster also served as Deputy Chief of Staff for Congressman Mica where he managed the Congressman’s committee assignments and the development of Federal transportation policy and legislative initiatives.
